Lowering Your Overhead
Let the experts argue whether we’re in a Recession or a Depression. In these stressful times, we would like to make our money go farther. The solution is managing our payables and cash flow, a corporate controller function which this Author has done for twenty-eight years. We are sharing here exclusively, and for a limited time a portion of this content as a service to the clients of HallofTaxes.
THE ATTITUDE:
In order to lower your monthly overhead you must wrap your head around several things. One, this is not an immoral thing to do. Two, it will decrease your stress when you pay less in expenses. Three, you must be kind, pleasant and appreciative on the phone. And Four, this is what professionals (like the Author) are paid to do and is laudable.
STEP ONE:
You need to start this project with a baseline against which to compare your savings. You are being given a template below for a BUDGET which is nothing more than expenses by type in a “before”(what you are paying now) and “after”(when you get your reductions) format.
